Take 120g cold porridge. Add 20mls oil – rapeseed or sunflower, 3g sea salt and 1/4 level teaspoon bicarb.
Mix adding enough oatmeal to make a clean smooth dough.
Divide into 4 and roll out each piece into a round thin flat cake.
Cut into 6 or 8 triangles (farls) and slip onto baking trays.
Bake at 180ºC / 350 ºF, Gas 4 for 12 to 15 minutes until crisp and beginning to curl at the edges.
Cool on a wire tray and store in an airtight container.
