We spent this morning with some very enthusiastic P5 and P6 pupils in Hurlford Primary School in Kilmarnock, talking about oat production from farm to mill as part of the Scottish Government’s ‘Food for Thought’ programme.

The children will be spending the next few weeks doing the ‘Healthy Oat Bar Challenge’, where they create and make a healthy oat bar, and come up with a name, packaging and advertising.

We look forward to going back to the school to judge the entries before Christmas.
