This Sunday we’re delighted to be supporting the Robert Burns World Federation’s annual Lasses lunch, taking place at the Radstone Hotel in Larkhall.
Founded in 1855, the Federation has more than 250 member clubs worldwide.
The Federation plays an important role in advancing the education about the life, poetry and works of Robert Burns through a range of activities including: running competitions for the general public, students and school children; stimulating the development, teaching and study of Scottish literature, art, music and language; conserving buildings and places associated with Burns and his contemporaries; strengthening the bond of fellowship amongst the members of Burns clubs and kindred societies throughout the world.
Hamlyns have been corporate members of the RBWF for a number of years.
The Burns Chronicle, published by the Federation, is one of the oldest continuing literary publications in Scotland.
