• Method

Heat oven to 180C / 160C fan / 350F / Gas 4.

Mix ingredients together than add water to make a batter the consistency of thick pouring cream.

Oil a baking tray approximately 24cm (9 ½in) by 30cm (12in).  Pour the batter onto the tray and allow to spread evenly by moving the tray from side to side so that the batter coats the surface.

Bake for 10 minutes, then open the door for a few seconds to allow any steam to escape. Close the door and leave the cracker in the oven for another 10 minutes or so until it puffs up from the tray and is crisp through.

Cool on a wire tray then break into pieces.

Serve with a tasty dip like humous or sour cream.

Add your own twist to the crackers by adding:

Chilli flakes and a little sugar

Ground black pepper

Sesame seeds

Curry powder or paste

We’d love to hear of any other suggestions.
