These burger bites are very versatile. Shape into a burger shape and serve in a roll with salad, or roll the mix into walnut sized balls, bake in the oven and serve with a rich tomato sauce with pasta, or serve cold with a carrot salad made with grated new carrots mixed with pre-soaked plump sultanas or raisins.
Simply mix all the ingredients together and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes. If you need to stretch rations add an extra handful of oats! Shape into eight equal sized burgers.
To cook, fry or barbecue on medium heat for four to five minutes on each side, or grill under medium heat turning once after four or five minutes, then grill the other side for the same amount of time. You can also oven bake at 180C, fan 160C, 350F, Gas 4 for 20 to 25 minutes.
