We hope you enjoyed Ahoy Portsoy! the virtual version of the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival, which starts at 9am on Saturday and runs all weekend.

There’s so much to watch on the festival website celebrating the people, landscape, marine heritage, culture, music, food and drink and lots more of the great things that make Portsoy such a unique and special town.

We’re delighted to be able to support the event, thanks to help from TikTok sensation the Hebridean Baker, local food blogger Angie Milne The Wee Larder, chef Rory Lovie from Bridgeview Station and the Elgin Youth Cafe who have all made videos for us showcasing different sweet and savoury oat dishes, using Hamlyns Scottish Porridge Oats and Oatmeals, from our mill at Boyndie, close to Portsoy. Head over to the virtual festival to watch them.

If you try any of their recipes, do share a photograph on Facebook,  Instagram or Twitter and tag us in so we can find and share your pics!

Our competitions are always really popular at the festival, and we didn’t want you to miss out, so we’re giving you the chance to win one of three of our highly-coveted Perfect Porridge packs, which include two china bowls, two china mugs, and apron and a tea towel designed by the Scottish designer Gillian Kyle, along with a hand-made locally-carved wooden spurtle, and a range of Hamlyns products.

Our three winners will also receive a signed copy of The Hebridean Baker cookbook which we’ll send on when it’s published in September.
