Homemade dog treats are really easy to make. They’re much less expensive than buying treats, and and your dog will love them.
Make sure that your peanut butter doesn’t include the artificial sweetener xylitol, which isn’t safe for dogs.
Start by heating your oven to 190C/170F.
Simply mix all of the ingredients together in a large bowl until fully combined to make a firm dough. Add more water if necessary.
If you have a mixer, knead the mixture with a dough hook for a few minutes, or you can tip the mixture out onto a lightly floured surface and knead by hand. Then roll out on a lightly floured surface to around 1cm thick. Dust lightly with flour and using a cookie cutter, cut out into any shape you like, the place on a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper, and bake in the oven for around 25 minutes, or until golden brown and crisp.
Cool then store in an airtight container.
