Thanks to the wonderful Scottish-French foodie blogger Jill Colonna for allowing us to share her recipe for these delectable Melting Moments cookies. Jill says that a birthday party for her daughters isn’t complete without Melting Moments.
The original recipe came from the Brownie Cookbook (as in the guiding movement and not squidgy chocolate squares!) and Jill says that she made it for one of her Brownie badges and it was the first recipe that she made completely on her own.
Recipe below. You can also view the full story on Jill’s blog.
Place them on baking trays covered in baking paper or on a silicone mat, flattening slightly each one with the finger, then place 1/4 glacé cherry on each (or any other candied fruit – candied orange peel is good, too.)
Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown then cool on a wire rack.
